Hello ozhonda, im in a bit of a trouble.. i worked on my eg5 yesterday fixed my in dash clock there was no constant power going in to it, so i figured that the wire with blue/white was the wire that was supposed to be constant power. I couldn't find the fuse for it and i checked the fuse box under the steering wheel and the fuses weren't blown out or anything like that so i went behind the head unit and tapped in to the constant and hooked it up to the clock and it worked. This morning when i was driving to work the engine light came on.. i parked the car switched it off turned it back on and it was gone but later on it came on again. i took the car home i let it idle for 10 minutes and no light came on i drove to shops to get something to eat and it came on again is the ecu messing around with me? i have no idea what to check.. is there like a honda diagnostic tool i could hook my car up to and find out? guys at work told me to take the negative terminal off the battery and let it sit for a while maybe that might work.. what should i do?

Removing the negative wire would just reset the ECU.
What kind of 'bleeps' are you getting ?

like i said if the light stays on thats an ECU problem
remove the wiring you did, reset the ECU and do the test again.

You're not turning the car on while doing the test are you ?
So you put the pins in, and the CEL just stays on ? Assuming the car is off
If it is indeed your ECU, the code will look like this:

If so, look here:

its like this i put the pins in the plug, turn the key to on position fuel pump makes its noise, noise stops, and the engine light stays on but does not blink like the one on the picture it just stays on.
