Replacing the soft top, genuine or aftermarket. thoughts?

my soft top's 9yo... i think it's time to replace it. Glass windscreen(ap2) would be prefered, but not really fussed.
has anyone replaced their one?
if so how much, for part and labour.
genuine or aftermarket.

note: i hear in the US there are kits, anyone tried these kits?

i met a guy other day who sells them and installs them. its an AP2 conversion for AP1 models. so glass window with demister. He said just search for him on ebay and should find him easy he has a store thing...sorry if this doesnt help :P
