View Full Version : 1990 Integra LS - Unknown lever on accelerator cable.

Hi guys. I was servicing my car with my uncle a while back, and I asked what this lever was connected to the accelerator cable via a little metal bar. He said he thought it kept the revs up during gear changes, but wasn't totally sure. He said his Prelude had one back in the day, and he disconnected it, so I did as well.

I've got some photos to show what I'm talking about exactly. Hopefully someone can verify what it actually does.

why would you disconnect something when you dont even know what it does O_O

Fairly sure it's for cruise control, the old skool type haha. my DA had almost the whole thing in there except the stalk, but I don't like cruise control and wasn't gonna be able to salvage it being parts from the early 1990's so I just took it all out, lawl.

yeah I think it's for Cruise Control.. manually actuated on most (older) Hondas...
