I'm having a problem of choosing between a single din or double din, i was wondering if i bought a single din would it be shaking or rattling? i have a DC5R with coilovers which are very stiff, i personally like the single din but i'm not sure if its worth it.
DC5R owners opinions please!

shouldn't shake if its been installed properly i've got a double din in mine never liked that empty space below on single dins on setups which are suitable to take dd makes it seem like something went wrong but thats just me :o

i guess if you got alot of stuff in the car single din might help because of the extra compartment?

personal preference really on whichever headunit your after i guess both will work anyway

no, you're supposed to screw the HU in properly...

i.e. u shouldn't need to worry about single vs double.

a Double din makes for theft bait though (no tthat you're not bait as it is)

double din is more distracting - depends if your car is for cruising or track - if cruising than it doesnt matter - but if you want to keep it sport orientated than i would opt for single

also need to consider the legal issues with double dins into your decision, not that it matters when you can get shafted for minor things.

there's a lot more on the market in terms of double din DVD units, if that is what ur after.
if ur stressing about theft, i'm pretty sure JVC have got a 2DIN DVD player with removable face :)

Doucle dins look better imo, single dins kind of look out of place. Only problem with my double din is that it gets in the way of the cup holders.

guys, if its single it will shake and fall out

get double din and use lots of tape to secure it.
