best to go look at it in person
looks like preface rear bar aswell
but its not UNBELIEVABLE!!?!?!!?!? that someone would do a 5 lug, put stickers on, front lip, and a rear wing to make it looks type R
yes all audm dc2r = b18c7
jdm dc2r = b18c

if it comes up as a VTIR then most likely it was a VTIR(the shell), i would keep a eye on the car. "POSSIBLY" its rebirthed, just sayin

Not hard but is costly
Facelift front
doors, rear quarter panels (unless moulded)
5 lug conversion
also the front is alot lower than the rear?
Hmm..........
Fix up the photos.. i cant click them

I'll tell you what I think, I think he's done a replica. and I'll tell you what I know, Type R's don't have a B18C2. another thing to look out for if you go check it out is the rear shocks, Type R's have an eyelet connection point on the bottom and the others have a fork or something.
How much is it going for?

Don't waste your time taking a look at it, the engine is a b18C2 and your vehicle check says its a VTIR. Theres heaps of fake Type Rs around.

if you do a sevs check and it says something else then give it a pass dude and don't waste anymore time on it. Don't be tempted by the price just sit back and wait and be patient....I know I did and bought myself a nice CW ITR when it came on the market.

just lookin at that link on carsguide, the seller has added " Conversion to TYPE-R look-a-like..."
At least they realise they've been caught out, shifty though! To the untrained eye you wouldn't know, intake manifold is a dead giveaway.
