Hi All,

Picked up my new Euro this week and have already put 600km on the clock.
Went to check the oil level this morning and it was around 75% full, before I drove out of the dealership I checked the oil level and it was full...
Now I've looked in the owners manual and it says that the car can use up to 1L/1000km, and is likely to use more oil when the car is new.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their Euro?
Should I be concerned about this?

Apart from that, the car is great and wonderful to drive. I'm lovin it!

Cheers.

The oil in the motor prior to the first service is not normal engine oil but has a slight abrasive in it to help run the engine in, they flush it all out and put proper stuff in at the first service, this is why consumption is a little high, and why the first service must be done at or near the 1000k mark

I just checked my oil level and it is around 75%. I've had my Euro for 2 weeks and have 740km on the clock. First service is next week. Nothing to worry about.

there can be a big difference between hot and cold so beware!

When the engine is cold, oil level is just below the 'High' hole in the lever. Warm engine was 75% level...

Anyway asked the service guys and they say its fine and is fairly normal for it to use a bit of oil during the run in period...
