Hey guys ive been hearing this grinding sound from time to time when braking. Ive checked the brake pads and they still have alot of meat left on them. The sound would randomly appear and when i lightly step onto the brake pedal it would go slightly louder. Then after driving for a while the sound would disappear and it would return after driving for a while.
Has anyone experienced this before? or know what the problem may be?
Thanks Danny

Sometimes a tiny bit of dirt or even a stone can get between the pad and the disk. That will make a grinding noise. Normally if its dirt it will wear off fast though.

im hoping its just dirt or something but is there any other factors that would cause this? better to solve a problem before it gets worse lol and costs more down the track.

is your brake disc flat like a pancake from top to bottom? you might need to shave it so it is flat again or buy a new one but it should normaly make squeeling noises instead of grinding
