Yo,
The last couple of days my keyless entry remote has only been unlocking my car. When I try to lock it it will make the sound of doors locking, yet I will be able to open it. Its annoying having to lock the car by they key itself as I always forget. Is it likely to be something as simple as getting a new remote made or could it be my immoboliser?
Cheers kents

Thanks for the link, don't know if its the same thing though because I don't have any of those problems that Beeza mentioned. Only problem is the remote won't unlock the door, but it will lock it. My battery died a few weeks ago after I left it sitting with the sound system on for too long lol, but the NRMA guy checked the battery and said its fine.

Remove door trim and watch the mechanism move. Could be the the actuator is screwed up or the rod assembly needs tightening.

Well, I came out of futsal tonight and the car wouldn't even unlock, was not making any noises from the door and the light from the remote was flashing like usual when I pressed the button. Could it be the imoboliser acting up because I have gone from constantly using the remote to using the key to unlock the door? I couldn't even unlock it for a while, but apparently the Integra can be a pain in the ass when the remote isn't working?

If I can't get it figured out then I'll give that a go, hoping its something fairly simple though

Nah, the light still goes off on the remote when I press the button, I thought if the battery was flat it wouldn't flash at all. Should probably try it though.

This. My old keyless entry/alarm used to do this (as it was aftermarket). The mechanism had slipped off the central locking mechanism. Just needed reattaching. 15 minute job max.

Sweet, might do it sometime next week, its not going to kill me to use the key for a while. Bought a new battery for the remote and its still not locking the door, so def wasn't that :(

Ended up taking the car to Honda and it is a problem with the actuator. Apparently its ****ed though and I need to get a new one and replace the entire system :(. Good news is since they have looked at it its working (only tried twice). They said the mechanics found that it will work on and off but to get completely fixed I'd have to take it to an auto electrician.

new door actuator (aftermarket) is $10, you can DIY

Really? The guy at Honda said it would cost me like $400 for a genuine Honda one.. Thats just to buy the actuator.

lol $400 mad rip off.

You can go to the wreckers and find an OEM one for a fraction of the cost.

If your gonna use an aftermarket one, you will need to mount and drill. eg like http://www.a1electric.com/door_locks.htm

I'm guessing an aftermarket one for $10 is second hand?

Lol well thats a relief :). Don't know what the guy at Honda was on about then? He did say something about resetting my entire central locking system or something though
