Rounded Flare Nuts

As the title says, whats the best way to remove them??

I was doing a Drum to Disk conversion on my Civic and the left side came of all good, but the right side is just dead stuck, flare nut wrench has eaten into it and vice grips dont do nothing same as WD40 and a little bit of heat. Yes these are the 10mm soft metal nuts too.

car wont be driven for a while, so no need to out line safety issues ;)

wd40 aint gonna cut it for these types of jobs. use something like PB blaster (or similar) and let it soak in for a couple of minutes. then use your vise grips and it should loosen up. thats what i did when it was beginning to round the flare nut on the power steering rack.

go to Repco and grab yourself some Loctite Freeze and Release, that combined with vice grips will solve virtually and stuck nuts/bolts ;)

havnt heard of the loctite freeze and release before, im also thinking doing the nuts up with vice grips arnt going to make them tight enough so kinda want a new flare nut...

im a safety freak lol

worse comes to worse, get some good pair of side cutters chop it off, remove the fitting and get new hose

how hard is it to chop the line then get it re flared? there is quite abit of spare line that just needs to be bent up as such

i reckon that loctite freeze and release is rubbish... but that is purely my perspective :P

the flaring tools from SCA are absolute rubbish. Don't waste your money

either pay someone else to do it or buy a decent kit. No point in crashing your car or injuring yourself to save a few bucks on a cheap flaring kit.
