Hi everyone,
I got some problem fot the vtec timing of my b16b
I am using orginal ek9 early style ecu
ek9 stock gearbox
vtec start on around 6200rpm
is it normal??
any parts other than then ecu or vtec controllor can effect the vtec timing?

sounds about right to me (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine#B16B_.28Type_R.29)
what did you expect it to be at?

Regarding from service & repair manual book the B16B should be engage 6200rpm. So that is not something wrong with that engine. However some people like set the vtec at 5900 rpm. Cheers

people will change vtec engagement due to engine modifications.
Different camshafts that are tuned to give a different power & torque curv
people who change vtec engagement on a stock engine are stupid.
