Koyo is a waste in the long run IMO. Overpriced with a warranty that shouldn't even be called a warranty. Go with something you know you can fall back on if ever you need to. Mishimoto has a life time warranty plan, including accident forgiveness.
Koyo warranties the radiator not to leak at the first start up. After that, they don't want to talk to you if you have a problem.

thats what i thought. it only has 1 year warranty for a product that is one of the best and it costs around $700.
i can get a mishimoto delivered for around $400-450 with life time warranty.
i'm not trying to bag koyo, thats why i'm asking questions to learn from peoples experiences.
i was speaking to this guy who works for this company in china that manufacturers mishimoto radiators for them. he told me he can give me one of those radiators without the mishimoto labeling for $250.
did you have bad experience with koyo?

i assume so.
i had a look at koyo, mishimoto and a generic one and they were carbon copy of each other.
the guy from china told me that they use a mishimoto template for their generic ones.
i'll be honest i dont know if they are all made in china. koyo says they're made in japan

Haven't had experience with either Mishimoto or Koyo, but after researching, it seems that Mishimoto would be the way to go. Just look at Koyo's warranty policy page. It does not state one year.
Koyorad All Aluminum Racing Radiator Limited Warranty Policy - Koyo Cooling Systems, Inc. will warranty Koyorad All Aluminum Racing Radiators due to manufacturers defect immediately upon first installation and vehicle start-up............[later on in the paragraph]....Koyo Cooling Systems, Inc. is not responsible for any shipping charges of warranty items.........[now for a lovely list of reason why they would REFUSE a warranty claim]......This warranty does not apply if damage occurs from:
· Neglect of the cooling system
· Installing non OEM fans or fan shrouds
· Improper installation
· Modifications/alterations made to the product
· Contaminants found in the cooling system
· Steam expansion
· Signs of electrolysis and/or corrosion
· Use in competition
· Abuse, misuse, and/or improper maintenence
· Repairs made or attempted (Stop Leak type products or Welding)
· Normal wear and tear
· The product subject to an auto accident
Wow is all I have to say.... Here is Mishimoto
Mishimoto Warranty - Mishimoto Performance (MP), warrants all of its products under its 'no questions asked' limited lifetime warranty policy.........Mishimoto, under its no questions asked warranty policy, will provide a warranty for all claims including vehicles involved in accidents.
Right there, my decision would be made up. Especially since Mishimoto is cheaper. I just don't understand why we have this misconception that Koyo is the best when they have come up with every which way your radiator can malfunction which also voids the warranty. Doesn't sound like they have much confidence in their products to me...
