My brother's DC4 Integra boot appears to leak water in heavy rain, but not so much in lighter showers.
Only threads I can find on leaks seem to relate to EK4 and Jazz.
Anybody know of any common sources of DC Integra boot leaks?

Check boot seals, may be a crack. The antenna can also be a possible suspect.
Checking if the leak from the antena would probably be the easiest to begin with. Grab a hose and hold it there for a while (not 1min) go for atleast 5 or 10 mins without making sudden movements. See how you go, good luck..!!

90% sure that it's the taillight foam gaskets. Accessible from inside the boot after you remove the plastic interior.

some people tighten the jack in the section that holds it too tight and cause the seals below it to crack...... this then allows some water to leak through.. take off the plastics and get it re-sealed...

I'm pretty sure we've stuck some silicone under the boot seal that goes around the boot space. This was probably last year (when it was raining hard previously). It looked like it could have been a cause but I thought we did a good job on it, however I'll check it out again to be sure.
Antenna...never thought of that! Will see if I can test it out.
Tail lights could be worth a look too. I've noticed the condensation in his left one but never thought it could exacerbate so much. Are these foam gaskets just replaceable? Buy from Honda?
As for the jack, I thought that would mostly cause an issue when you drive in the wet? I'll check it out anyways - I'm sure I've seen a little DIY with pictures for this.
Thanks guys!
+1 rep for all of you.

Leaks at the antenna hole is technically possible, but I do believe that it is highly unlikely.
The taillight gaskets leak like waterfalls after they dry out. The ones on my car have been siliconed like crazy too.
The third possible place is the sunroof drain tube that might have come loose from its mount. This tube is directly under the antenna base, behind the plastic interior. Both sides of the car have them.
Check them all and see where the problem is.

Mine leaked from the antenna aswell, the integra smelled very bad after it was raining.
Got a new antenna and I put black silicon around it, made it look genuine. It rained yesturday, and car still smells beautiful now haha.
So yeah, check the antenna :).

Will def check the antenna tomorrow. No sunroof so that's not a problem. Tail lights should be addressed too, leaking or not I want the moisture out.
Thanks again guys.

at most you can only suspect it as a possibility.

So yeah, check the antenna :).I stick blue tak under there.

Everyone here has good points.
one thing not mentioned is the Ventilation port/flap that is located directly under the antenna.
Even a brand new car out of the factory will leak from there. The amount is small and you will never see it because that area is lower than the main boot area and its all covered by the black boot trimmings.
I see it because I have taken the rear interior trim out of my car ages ago.
good luck

Here's the vent port (that dusty black plastic rectangle) from inside my car, photo taken a long time ago when I replaced the antenna. You can see all the junk that the previous owner let roll in and collect under the plastic trim.

That fat black wire on the floor of the car is from the CD changer.

there are also hoses that draw water (i think thats what the hoses do) from places like the antenna, u can see the hose through the little square window on the right of where the antenna is in dinorider's pic

It happened to my integra and the culprit was the antenna. I resolved this problem by breaking off the antenna and sticking some ducktape over it. Problem solved

Haha, thanks for the advice but I think he's after something a little cleaner!
Will definitely check the antenna though and thanks 'dinorider' for your picture, I'll check that one out too though I hate pulling apart interior stuff <sigh>

THe plastic thing is a "woman's reproduction organ" to take off.
Where is it leaking from any idea? Common leak would be the side where the rubber seals are. If they get clogged it may cause water to gush in. check if they are cleaned and check if the rubber seal there is nice. if its all broken or torn then its no good. most important part of the seal would be the top bit where the hinges of the boot are and the bottom where the rear bar is. Assuming Dc4 and dc2r are the same cause i never had a dc4.
If thats not the case then if you have a wing then check the fitment on that and check what area is damp so you can zone in on the area that needs attention.

This happened to me, turns out it was the taillights foam gaskets leaking, it filled my spare tyre well with about 2 inches of water...
I made new ones out of an old wet suit i got from an op shop for $5 and siliconed the shit out of it haha
heres the DIY i used http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=15&TopicID=280402&ThreadPage=1

Took a good look today with my brother to show me where the leak is. It's in the cavity under the antenna, so that's now my main suspect. I'll test it with a hose when his car is available again (having some minor body work done from tomorrow onwards) and if it proves to be the problem I'll either try some blue tack or sikaflex :)

Sweet!!
It's now like a week or more with my new antenna and its working well, car smells nice and fresh even though with all this heavy rain in QLD.
Good luck,

Tail light gaskets. SOOOOOOO common on DC2's. check the same way I did, it's a c*** to do if your tall like me but it's fail proof! haha :P
Step 1: Remove all trim inside boot.
Step 2: Remove spare tyre, jack, tools and boot floor.
Step 3: Sit/Crouch down inside boot and get someone to close the lid and hose down the whole car.
Step 4: Continue to hose down the car until you see water.
In my case I saw water coming from the tail light gaskets straight away, which would explain the swimming pool I had in my spare tyre well and back seats hahaha.

my friend has just noticed this on his... but it appears to be coming in on the left tailight but right in the bottom left corner of it.. and running down near that black thing on the left hand side... and then moving to the boot well.
where do you put silicon to reseal the tail lights? would it still be the gaskets in this case?
its only a slight leak but it fills it with so much water in heavy rain.
any info is appreciated, because ill be fixing it for him, only because im buying it.
