If you got the cash and are after handling improvements aswell and want adjustable height go the coilovers if you have a budget and just want a decent drop on the car and still retain the stock-like handling get some decent springs with shocks

bear in mind if you go down the springs path make sure you get aftermarket shocks to suit or else the lowering springs will eventually **** up the oem shocks after time

i have read a couple of other thread and i have 2 choice of coilovers

b.c. racing coilovers or kings coilovers

what have you guys installed ? and what you guys think about it

also i dun want the car to be too bouncy while going through speedbumps

if you get some coils on there it will be very stiff and the car will be very sensitive with bumps but the handling will be top notch and adjustable height,

i think you should go springs and shocks if your more after that oem-ride thats less bumpy and will feel stock, if you hit some coils on there your going to have to take bumps, potholes, shitty roads 10 times slower to avoid that very awkward bump

660 for just kingsprings, any shocks and labour on that?

the drop wouldn't be huge 1.5" ish but looks way more then that when its installed will look heaps better then stock

660 just for springs.

shocks would be about another 900 to 1100

if you're going to be spending that much then why don't you just opt for some damper + height adjustable coilovers as you will be buying shocks somewhere down the track which will add up to a similar price of some decent coilovers..

yeah might aswell try find some 2nd hand coils or s&s combos on the forums or somewhere, not many people would be satisfied paying 660 for just springs.. they must be top of the range springs but if its coming from jaxquickfit i cant really see that being the case haha

just curious do you know what brand springs they were trying to sell you?

says above king springs

there is more than 2 brands of dc5r coilovers you can get
better to save for a set than spend 660 bucks for shit king springs

Lan said it.. + the additional amount you'd end up spending on new shocks sooner or later.

sorry to hijack. if all im after is to lower, but ride comfort is the most important thing. Would aftermarket shock + spring combo be the choice? as I've heard, even the softest settings on coilovers arent as comfy as shocks & springs.
