........
DC4's are GSI model integras...
They're not rare..
They're not incredibly fast either..
Better off getting a vti-r teggy if you can't afford a type R

as above, there is nothing rare about them. How fast they are is in the eye of the beholder...
just a warning to everyone who looks at this thread, no personal attacks, if you got nothing helpful to say, stay out

otherwise GSI are nothing special ... better off going for a Dc2 VTIR or Type-R

Yeah save your money and buy a vti-r, this is coming from a gsi owner.
They're nice and everything, but for that couple extra thousand you can go sooo much faster.

vti-r is a great car esp if type R is out of your budget :)

Not rare at all, and not 'fast' but certainly not a slow car either.
My brother has a '98 DC4 and every time I get in it I'm impressed by the interior, very nice compared to my '94 Civic VTi. He's got good quality I/H/E and some 17" Enkei Monaco rims and it's a nice package, beautiful to drive IMO if not as fast as my EF8.
Put some shorter gear ratios in the box and it's a different car :)

how come a GSI is called DC4 when a VTIR is called a DC2 i mean normally the bigger the number the better? LOL :S

your logic = winner equals number infinity.

the Dc4 and Dc2 should have exactly the same interior - the only differences i could find when i was buying mine is that alot of GSI didnt have sunroof and the engine doesnt have vtec ...

Don't bother with the dc4 as prices are falling these days on the superior models.
The only reason why I would buy a dc4 now is if I found one in immaculate condition, low km's etc or if you plan on turboing it due a more ideal compression.
In saying I miss my dc4 daily cruiser :(

They are pretty rare in comparison to a lot of other cars out there, but more common than Vti-r's. The Gsi is a great car, but you are better off just waiting a bit longer and getting a Vti-r because you'll want the v- tec. Or better yet, keep saving and eventually get a dc2r.

the only reason i can think of specifically buying a DC4 is if you are going to strip it and do an engine swap etc

lol that didnt really answer my question. So a DC5 is worse than a DC4 because it comes after it?
So confused.

It's just a number, it doesn't even matter.
Why did they choose numbers in their VINs and not just more letters?

didnt Dc2 VTIR come in auto as well?

03-10-2010, 01:40 AM
Nope - No VTi-R's came in manual. So if you wanted an auto, the only option was to get a Gsi.

Quadriple face palm to all you face palmers.
Clearly any form of DC5 is better than a DC4, so who cares about how many models of DC5 there are or how slow you are to pick up his sarcasm...
