Hey guys, im looking at purchasing some new wheels. Ive narrowed it down to 2 different sets.

Theres one set which is 16x8 +20 offset all around and theres another set which is 16x8 with 2 wheels +10 offset and the other 2 +20 offset.

What i would like to know is should i get the 2 wheels with +10 and 2 wheels with +20 offset set? would i be able to fit the +10 offset on a hatch? for the rear? and use the +20 one at the front? would it fit with a little stretch and guard/flared guards? or should i just stick to the +20 all around set?

also while im at it, what is the centre bore for a eg hatch?

Thanks in advance!
Nick

Wouldn't it all also depend on how much camber you will be or will be willing to run (if any) and how low you want to go

Personally I'd hate to have the task of fitting these onto my car lol. Stretched tyres, camber, rolled guards, and fingers crossed...

You would be able to fit +10 on the front; will just have to take out splash guard/pull fender a little. Should fit easy. +20 on the rears should sit nice with just a roll of the guards, +10 would need more of a roll/pull but its easily do able. It all depends on what size tire you are going to run as well; Using a 195/45 or 205/40 you shouldnt have any problems, depending on brand. If you want to go for a wider tire a 205/45 will be more challenging. But this all depends on height; And im guessing you want to use standard camber arms; which imo is much better than running a stupid -6billion degrees; still leaving you with tire gap which is pointless and looks stupid. Go for as wide as you can on standard arms. You also shouldnt be worried about camber wear, as long as you have a good wheel alignment you will be fine. This would be with a standard 4 stud hub setup? If you are using a 5lug setup the results will differ, due to the hubs being pushed out more, creating less offset, more negative camber with a drop and etc etc.. Not sure what the centre bore is; google that shit!

Hope that helps! Lots of things to consider when fitting wheels if you want to fit them right.

Yes it will be on the standard 4lug hub, and yeah i most likely will get 195/45 tyres..so its do-able with +10 all around? ive already rolled and flared the rear guards..
or should i just stay safe and go with +20s all around?

and yes i will be using standard camber arms..

your info actually helped alot..the car will be pretty low, and yes i guess it does matter on the tyres and guards..will look into it.
thanks!

If you are prepared for pulling the front guards more go for +10. It will easily be do-able. Depends what you want to do! I think a +10 with a 195/45 should fit really nice on the front. Personally if i was choosing id go for it. But its up to you man.. Look for pictures of eg's with similar front fitment.. From the states etc. You should be able to find a few.

Shouldnt need to do any crazy fender work at all; But wont have to worry about cracking your paint.

yeah a little flare on the front you rekon?
how do people exactly 'pull' the fenders?

Well, EG front guards are so thin and flimsy, i Just pulled mine with my hands, I rather do that than actually 'roll' the lip of the guard over as thats the only strength it has, and i used the newspaper trick to get more of a flare. Its on youtube lol. And it actually works great on the front fenders suprisingly.

lol thats true..
maybe i should get the wheels first and see how it fits and then do the body work..hmm
then again i want the car up and running, wheels will take ages..
