Apexi Cold Air Intake from a mate its used and is the full thing. $80 good condition, any1 got 1 and can tell me what sort of gains im expected to get ?

80 bucks lol why not?? if u dont like it then sell it, however brand like injen will more likely to give you better gains than apexi IMO.

i reckon stick it out and buy and injen they just look great sounds great and better power gain :) & any performance mods they burn abit more petrol then your supposed to but its far worth it .

Get an INJEN CAI. Better gains and sounds awesome. JDMYard (vendor on this forum) sells it. It'll set you back around $500 though.

for the money, i'd get it and try it. if you dont like it sell up and get something else like an injen or aem

the apexi extension with pod is a nice sounding intake ... but you wont gain much from it

i would buy a Fujita CAI over an Injen any day - much better designed pod and better quality parts

It's up to you really, fujita and injen are both good brands.
Either way your not going to be looking at any massive or totally crazy gains, at best you'll feel like u have a bit more power and a louder vtec crossover.. if its response and power go all the way with I/h/e and cams, bigger throttle body, ecu n tune etc

better throttle response - a tad more mid + top end - but not miracles

the good thing about doing just an intake first is it helps you hear the engine performing and behaving - so that you can get a better feel for it as you drive

the designs on the apexi and the fujita pod look the goods. are they the reusable pods where u clean em with oil ect?
i saw some where that the 3a pod is good coz u just buy a new one (around $35) wen the need be and its VERY good

all filters are reusable to a certain amount of washes and oiling. for me k&n states no more than 25washes but you wouldnt need to clean it so often unless you drive over dirt and rain everyday. Power gains its a honda so dont expect anything much and thats fact unless you boost/charge it or go k20/k24 on yo car. buy it if its not to your likings resell it, its not that expensive.

i prefer to just keep dry filters - they last for yonks anyway

i found that the filters that i oiled/cleaned/washed didnt last as long as the ones that just stay dry

juss give it a good blow out with the air compressor every now and than

i have had k+n, apexi, ebay, injen + fujita pods and out of all of them the best i found was the fujita - closely followed by the apexi

@ pablos8 , yeahh thats exactly what i want, just more response.. and a small gain not looking for massive, its just air haha. but yeah im gna not gna go putting on a pointless colder air intake if its still in the engine bay no worth the defect .. i got a K&N panel atm, i no they do jack shit but least it is legal and sounds better the stock haha. so yeah next upgrade on the air is tops !!
