Hi all, i had 20s on my up until i bought some black 19s. The 20s tyres where really stretched. They had 225-30-R20, and was lowered till about 70 mil off ground, and had no real scrubbing issues after guard rolling. I now put 19s on, with same offset, but the tyres are 245-35-R20, and i had to adjust coilovers to 4WD mode, and its still scrubbing. Is there and other way to avoid the scrubbing without having to stretch tyres again.. And if there isnt, would there be anywhere to get a set of cheap 225 or 235 tyres.. Or someone that wants to sell/swap? CHEERS!!

lots of camber lol, i would imagine it happening allot, i have 245's on my 18's and they scrub, although my guards arent rolled. as far as tryes go, i could possibly get a discount through work on tyres for you but it would only be like 10% off retail price.

what width and offset is the rim.

Width is 8.5. And offset is +35. Which was exactly same as my 20s. Do I need a camber kit to camber?

are your guards rolled? depending on the height your car is at the moment will determine how much camber you can run, but you can adjust your camber without a camber kit.

gonna need a fair bit of camber since the 245's are big for 8.5" rims so it will stick outwards, roll your guards, and remove your splash guards and see how you go.

My guards are rolled. But it still rubs on the guard. Previous rims kinked out te guard so that instead of bending down into the wheel arch it became level.. Got that fixed, now this. The 245 seems to be perfect for the wheel though. As in it is flush with rim.. How can I adjust camber? I know going lower will camber, but obviously can't go lower.. I think I might just get some 225 tyres with abit if rim sticking out.

you can DIY it or go to alignment shop to get it done.

Ok so i adjusted camber... All the way. Only played with camber. Took it for a drive, and feels like the car has Four Wheel steering.. And scrubs even more. And is quite scary when driving over 60kms.

yea because when you DIY your own alignment it will not be accurate 100%. Reason why it's scary because you probally have a tiny contact patch. duno why it would be scrubbing more, maybe take a look at your tyres and determin where it's actually rubbing. Remove the wheel and look for some rubbing marks

Hmm. I took everything off and put it back to stock. When i have time ill take it to a wheel and tyre place and let them handle it. How do i Rep +1 people...?

The lower the number the farther out
The higher the number the farther in

Sounds like you need to flare your gaurds as well as run more neg camber. 19s are really big on a 2k
