AP1 Headlights with orange indicator

Hey been looking at some S2000. I really like the look of the AP1 headlights especially when they have the orange indicator reflector. I cant seem to find a car on carsales with pure orange indicator. All of them are clear with a tint of orange, which make the AP1 look crap imo.

They all seem to have black headlights so i am guessing they are 99-01 models since 02-03 has chrome headlights.

Can someone give me some information about these. Did they ever come stock with cars? Can i still get them and how much would it be?

Another general question, there seem to be alot of silverstone S2000 on carsales seems very hard to find a white, black or blue. Are these colours rare, were most S2000 sold in aus silverstone? I am happy with any colour other colour than silverstone cos it just seem really generic.

USDM models have the orange reflectors as standard. Many people DIY and paint their lenses etc, you can follow this route or I think you can get kits that are properly dyed etc and you just replace the existing ones. Do a search, you'll find heaps.

Search up s2ki and wait for someone to sell the amber lense, you can buy it pull apart your headlight and install them. I did that, and also 2 of my friends have done it as well.

Thanks for the reply on the PM too. How much did u get urs for? Also what year is ur car, guessing its 99-01 since u have black headlights?

Do u think its worth paying a bit more for a version 2 AP1 (02-03)? Heard there is clutch buzz on the earlier models of AP1, but ppl say that can be fixed if u get a new clutch kit.

The colour of ur car just looks amazing! Is laguna blue different from the stock blue on an S2000?

Yeap laguna blue is different it's lighter.

No problem Lense cost me $50, if your patient there will be some for sale.

Clutch buzz still happens just take your time and read around, many of the questions you have about the s2000 most likely will have already been answered.

.. when stock standard is clear, people go and buy orange. when stock standard is orange, people go and buy clear.. lol, any excuse to mod i say :)

It depends on the car colour and the contrasting colours.

I like it on Vyets Laguna, but I hated it on the MCB... Weird huh?
And on any other USDM colour it just looks crap and outdated, IMO.

ye agreed ludecrs, itll look shit on red aswell.. i couldnt picture my car with it.. if anything i would take myne apart and lightly tint it, black/red combo looks decent :)

naa i dont like it to be honest on red ;( it really suits white tho i'd def buy it if i had a white 2k.
