hi mate, you should indeed replace the tie rod end boots because if not the tie rod itself will be exposed to dirt and weather, if the tie rod end boot is worn out you dont need to replace the whole tie rod, you can just replace the tie rod end boots. and im pretty sure you can just buy universal boots for cheap online.

Hi mate, before it was very noisy when i drove over a pot hole, but it was because of the cracked front engine mount, fixed it and it is ok now.

well i dont live in sydney, but pretty much any suspension specialist should be able to install this for you and even source the tie rod end boots for you also.

Yea in terms of ep3 tie rod ends, Honda australia has 1 in stock and will have to order another one from japan...You're looking at atleast 4 weeks for that to come in.
Otherwise you can go aftermarket j's racing tie rods or t1r, aftermarket though is fairly limited, only go aftermarket also if you have plans to lower your car. Otherwise stick to oem.
Ep3 shares tie rods with the em2, eu3 and crv apparently.

the es1 and eu3 tie rod ends are smaller than ep3. the bolt that the cotter pin goes through that is.

em2 is the 7th gen coupe. we don't get them here, i think it's only in us and europe.

hmm.. im just saying, im not sure if they are going to fit since they share the same suspension parts with the ES and EU we have here. if anything you should've probably got the ep3 si tie rod ends from the US.

Apparently the taper size on those can vary from the JDM models. Not sure how true that is. Otherwise buy a Type R tie rod from the uk, they are the same.

I found a place that sells them in the uk I am just waiting on postage cost, If anyone wants some OEM Honda ep3 type r tie rods i will buy a few in the one order.

Reviving thread. I need to replace my LH tie rod end as it's busted after coilover install. Anyone know where I can get this part over the counter on same day? Or is this part only available overseas?
