Thinking about purchasing a 2007/08 Civic Type R. These ones didn't come with lsd but just wondering if I buy say a wavetrac lsd, how much roughly does it cost to install it. Is it a matter of simply fitting the part or does it involve more changes than that.
Does anyone in Australia stock the wavetrac lsd for a FN2.
Thanks
Fitting in an LSD is just, fitting in an LSD. Its the labour you pay for and that will be an arm and a leg. Suggestion is wait until you need a clutch change and do that all at once. I'm not sure on pricing but it might be like $600 for labour? (feel free to correct me on this guys).

I changed my gearbox last week cost me 350$ for labours and i supplied my own oils. so about 400-450$ for gearbox labour. Don't buy FN2R. They aren't a real type R, NO LSD, No Championship white, Red honda badge is extra cost.

who buys a fn2r doesnt know that ep3 still craps over it lol, proven in top gear, an on the spec sheets... you dont buy type-r to only find out u gotta fit a lsd, better off getting a newer typer or ep3

Can't agree with you more mugen ctr. I strongly suggest you get a ep3r. Type r is supposed to be track ready when you buy it stock.

the last breeds of the typer was the ep3 in my eyes.... honda cheaped out on the fn2r, not only the adm, but looking at it in general, torsion beam suspension???? lame..... what ever happened to the multi-link suspension? an no lsd on our models? kinda makes us look too cheap to afford lsd here, c'mon, if the common commodore/falcon come equipped with it from the factory why cant honda do the same....
Imho, there are better cars for the same price, an hotter hatch backs than fn2r, my 2cents

FN2R, like some of the EP3's is a european civic. Nuff sed!
When the EP3R was first introduced to the European market it had no LSD nor even the famous Red Recaros.
As far as installing an LSD into a non LSD FN2R I have no idea, I can only imaging spending a bit more on the factory LSD FN2R would be harder on the wallet but give peace of mind.
