Ok so ive noticed the fuze box and wiring in my EG4 say "cruise control Unit" Never really looked into it to much until now.

I want to know what EG has cruise control? are they aus models? And how hard are the complete setups to get?

I believe it was an optional extra in the VTi, as was driver's airbag.

i have heard of some Gli's having it as well

i looked at building a setup for my Gli ... through ebay the parts are around $200 all up
- cruise computer
- whole pedal replacement
- actuator motor
- throttle body connectors etc
- wiring

after looking into it ... i think it would be easier just to get an after market unit installed by someone else lol - cbf tho

The september 94 EG hatch and sedan brochure don't have cruise control listed as standard or optional equipment for the Australian market.

Yeah you're right actually, just did a checkup and the optional extras were A/C and driver's bag.

I wouldn't mind eventually installing the setup if it was possible to find. Keeps me from playing with the pedal and getting overly excited if you know what I mean.

I've heard you can just pay somebody to supply and install these for $400-600. But is it really worth it? I guess if you do lots of rural/freeway driving yeah but for me I wouldn't bother I just drive in the suburbs lol

Yeah I live northern area's of perth and my house is close to the main freeway that takes me directly into town so most driving gets done on that.

Also i dont think you need peddle change as the Cruise control actuator and cable + TB connections will regulate the currect throttle cable correct? Maybe you need to change peddle in auto trans only or something.

i mean u dont need every little part the write up has "cluster cruise control light" if urs doesnt have it u could wire up a small LED on the dash of some sort as an indictor if need be. The main parts is only what you need. The parts on ebay is 95% of them. just some small bits and bobs to do all the finishing toughes.
