if u want, u can get coilovers....new ones r expensive, can get up2 $2,000...u can adjust it anytime u want. Or u can get a second hand one but i dnt really recommend that, well it depends ya know wat i mean.

Or if u want a cheaper way to lower ur ride, u can just change ur springs....thats wat i did when i get my car lowered @ k-mac. From wat i know, changing the spring....wont last long? correct me if im wrong hehehe....it will last but not in the long long time..... so the gr8 way to get is coilovers :D

at the moment i wish i can afford coilovers :(
probably just change the springs for now.... would i need to change the shocks? or will they be fine for the time being? ..btw my car is like higher than stock height for some reason.. :|

civicboy
03-12-2003, 09:33 PM
yeah i know how u feel, i want coilovers but no $ hahaha!
u dont need to change the shocks & ya, it will be fine =) like wat Chi said u can buy spring & shocks or even buy pre-set lowered ones.....then u dont have to worry bout ur shocks in a long run when u just changed ur springs, u know wat i mean.

i had mine for almost 6 years now & they still good(2/1.5 lowered all round; k-mac springs), but i can tell they are wearin off coz on some bad bumpy roads, it steers round but its all good, as long as ur carefull where ur rollin coz its quiet bumpy & loud.

most places should do a lowering package when buying wheels for about $350
if u want to go pretty low, then just get a set of kings and koni shocks.
Make sure when u buy the koni's they are the yellow sports cos they're height adjustable.

jkz
04-12-2003, 10:05 PM
how much are koni shocks?

poid
05-12-2003, 07:41 AM
Depends where you buy em from, retail is about $1000 however if you shop around you can get em for $800, maybe less depending on who you know.

Thats for the yellow sports, there are also Koni red shocks which are cheaper. Koni are certainly not the cheapest out there

If you're on a budget, go King Springs. Not all dat good, but does the job for the money AND it's Oz made. :)

I got a quote here in Melbourne for an Accord for 380 fitted..and drops the ride bout 2", if I'm not mistaken.

You in Melbourne??

jkz
07-12-2003, 09:13 PM

Good luck!! and do post back of wat u eventually got - prices/pics/bla, bla, bla - :)

what is everyone's opinion of pedders springs and shocks?

poid
09-12-2003, 08:35 AM
steer clear of teh shocks, they are rebadged Monroe's

A mate has pedders springs, they are OK but he's only dropped 30mm. I wouldnt trust Pedders for anything lower than that personally

i dont have my price list with me...if you have a look at their catalogue on their site you should be able to search for accord parts and bring up the retail price for shocks
