Im thinking of buying a Civic EG SI but i would want to put a b18c in it. would there be any drama with this or would it fit straight in?

not correct -
you will need at a minimum -
the engine (long block) / gearbox
DC2/dc4 or EG6 rear gearbox bracket
b series driveshafts
b series shift linkage
correct ECU
you can re use the wiring harness on the Si and add a few wires etc.
Also reuse all the rubber mounts from the Si. But it is incorrect to say its "drop in"

Roughly how much needs to be spent?
5-10 grand. There is no such thing as a rough price man, will you be doing the work yourself, workshop. How long do you want it done in, where do you want the engine from?

true. It will probably be a DIY job, and we have plenty of time. i was probably going to ebay the engine. Is there a better place?

Another option is to buy one already done, saves the headaches and lost time
There is one avail in the fs section
I'm also throwing around the idea of selling mine as I'm interested in getting a Renault Clio sport

buyin one already done is a good option! does save a lot of time! but no fun lol its fun doing engine conversion, and knowin that you put your time and effort into it! PRIDE AND JOY! either way! have fun with the project. but yeah if you were to do the conversion yourself, buy at least a front cut b18c. will come with everything you need =D

Haha yeah dropping it in yourself will do your head in abit if you don't know what your doing but if you do its all good you'll prob have more fun with it knowing you put in the hardwork yourself haha
One of my friends dropped a b18c in his eg and his lovin' it.
