er your revs will drop when your at a complete stop from 3-> 1 or less cause thats when its only idling if this is for an auto car would be the same aswell.

That's the problem. You can't use that adaptor...the afm is very sensitive. It needs to be at a certain distance from the intake manifold and the housing must have vanes

That pipe looks like it's designed for the dc5

But the seller told me for fd2... it's simota pipe...
I wonder where can i buy the housing maf adapter?
Sad ;(

I'm curious as well. But as you can see there are no vanes (look inside your stock pipe and you'll see the plastic bit in the middle) on this pipe so it won't work

Hmm, maybe i try to clean my MAF and throttle body first before i send to workshop

not tooo sure if this is relevant but when i switched the injen CAI into the FN2 it does the same thing
when it starts to idle funny.....especially in HOT weather with the A/C on ti almost sounds like the car will cutoff and die at any point
this is becuase of the intake causing the car to run rich, as mentioned in another post there arn't' any vanes to help channel the air flow past the MAF sensor, chances are that the diameter of these is also larger than the stock piping
for me it was confirmed by checking the exhaust if there is black smoke puffing out as it struggles
something you might wnat to check out ? again don't quote me on it but its what i found out

So you just leave it that way?

for now, it gets worse when i take it to the track and then let it sit for about 2-3 mintues....it really sturggles at that point .. but give it 15 mintues or so and its back to normal
i havn't encountered the problem again just yet but i'm guessing thats becuase of the the slightly cooler weather
i'm getting flashpro to help solve the problem, its the ecu not reading correctly with the AFR....for me anyway

I think i just cut the oem airbox and try with the stock pipe first...
See whether the problem goes away ...
Frustrating with the rpm when stop down at traffic light :(

if you use the stock intake pipe the problem will most likely go away

just modify your one. and if you ever need another one just buy it from the dealer. I doubt people would want to part with theirs...but just in case post in the WTB section.
