Hi everyone, i've got an automatic 94 integra.
Has anyone else noticed that when you put the Integra into either R (reverse) or D (Drive) that the car jumps. I have checked the gear oil and that seems to be fine. How do i fix this? Is this normal? The car seems to be reving ok at start up (approx around 800).
Let me know what you guys think or if there is a solution to the problem.

should rev at around 2000rpm on start up maybe abit lower so it can warm its self up and get up to operating temp. then after its warmed up it will idle at 750-800ish.
with regard to that automatic gear box 'jumping' i think its normal. hyundai getz is the worst at doing this.. had it as a rental car. also my grandmothers new getz does it
ohh and also check your engine/transmission mounts

Check your engine mounts, particularly the rear one & lower front ones.

Hmm engine mounts are fine. I just got a RWC for it last week. The rwc guy didn't mention anything aobut the mounts.
The others with integras on here, does yours do the same? Or anyone who goes to buy a car, would you think that there is something wrong with the car if it was jumping into gear?

depends how bad it is, like if you feel a slight shudder or wobble thats fine, but if it's like CLUNK!! or the car actually moves, I would look further into it. Automatics use a flex plate rather then a flywheel, maybe it's got something to do with that? just taking shots in the dark here lol.
