The passenger side Sunvisor will not stay up - it slips down with no weight on it at all.

I asked the dealer about it and he said the stem bit that the visor attaches to needs replacing, and he has replaced a few.
Surely there is a cheper fix than this ?

Any one had th same problem ?

Also, how do you get the visor off the arm - I tried punching it but it only slid about 1/2cm then got stuck.

thanks

Anyone had the sunvisor replaced by the dealer ? Any idea on cost ??? Surely I aren't the only Euro owner in Australia with this problem ?

Car has been garaged day and night and never driven in anger. 50,000 easy and enjoyable kms.

why not try going to a wrecker and getting a second hand part? Should be substantially cheaper than new

Yeah, but I am worried that the 2nd part will also fail. I also need to colour match to my interior.
