Hey everyone!

I have been searching online for a car forum dedicated to the Civic FD's with an English speaking community and I have found it finally! I thought I'd introduce myself to you all as I am new. My name is Chris, I'm from Toronto, Ontario Canada and I drive a 2006 model Acura CSX (FD5). Had the car brand new from the start and every single mod done to the car was done at home in my garage!

I'm currently thinking of putting the +22 in the front and +28 in the back for functionality. What are your suggestions? Go with FORM or FUNCTION?

From Canada eh? Welcome to Ozhonda. You'd be better off taking a quick look at 8thcivic too.

The car loooks good man!

my instinct tells me you shouldn't have any problems with stock suspension, but you never know..

take a look here:http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?130699-FD-FN2-EP3-Wheel-Setup-Guide

Thank you for the welcome Curtis!

I've been a member on 8thcivic since back in 2008, but these guys are all up in the HELLAFLUSH scene, I would get flammed for being a 4x4 :(

Thanks for the link, I've already looked through it but no one has the same fitment question as I, however I did post it up as a question for the pros :)

Curtis: I'm not lowered yet because my dad uses my car sometimes and I don't think he would like to drive a lowered car. However, he is getting a new car this summer, hence why coilovers are on my shopping list for the 2011 season :D I'm probably going to lower it 1.5-1.75 in the rear and 1.25-1.5 in the front max

Thanks man! I knew someone would bring that up sooner or later but theres a story behind why I have it. Last year me and my friend got into an accident (both at fault) and my funds were tied. I had my eyes set on these RE30's (brand new at the time) which were on sale for the deal of the century! So I chose to get that + a cheap quick fix knowing that I would get a new replacement bumper in the near future. Without the sticker, there would be hella scratches but next year when the RR goes on, the only thing that might take its place to match the BBS is one of these fold-down in gold.

Really? They dont feel like plastic, their pretty freaking heavy. When the box weights roughly 40 pounds (thats a lot of plastic).

Hi chris welcome to ozhonda!!! :)

That's one hot Fd!
One thing caught my eyes, your rear bumper. here in aus the most I've seen around is the mugen 1 lip kit and even though it looks hot i like a bit of difference. Do you mind me asking where you got it from???

Do post up the rr when you got it on. I'd love to see it

Thank you for the warm welcome,

I got the lip from OptionJDM (http://www.optionjdm.com) although they don't have it on their website, you can email them and say Chris referred you, this way you get a better price.

If you guys don't mind some cursing (sorry, my friends are uneducated) I have a video of how the LED pad flashes.

Well, I don't know how I am going to run these, my friend is running 17x9 + 22 in the back with 215/40/17. Lowered one inch and camber -4 with fenders rolled and he STILL rubs!!
I hope I don't run into rubbing issues, the old man will freak if the tires rub or anything bad like that =/

if they do, i'll trade u lol! looks real nice man. chuck the +22s on the rear! all about the looks (insert cool face). i would have gone for +22 all around though, just because i love the concave look on te37s.

chrishood
14-11-2010, 12:38 AM
Hahaha I think a trade from Canada to Australia would be amazingly expensive. However, I AM trying to find someone to trade/buy my +28 offset so I can buy a brand new +22 offset :D The deal doesnt seem to be working out very well :thumbdwn: I got these rims for a STEAL and there were 5 other buyers lined up to purchase as well, I couldn't let this lifetime offer go away. (+28 set are BNIB and +22 had only brake dust on them!)

chrishood
14-11-2010, 12:39 AM
Also, the only bad thing about chucking the +22 in the rear is this won't happen..

CONCAVE + BBK
