Hey everyone, Im Kris

this isn't my account, but i just use it as my profile since the owner of this profile doesn't use this account.

Anyway I am new to this whole thing and my car has been pretty modded up from the previous owner. Alot of my friends laughed at the fact that I didnt know half the stuff thats on the car :P

But yes im done hiding in the shadows, and whilst enhancing my knowledge about my car, there are some questions that i need to know.

I live around the Blacktown area, I was wondering if anyone knows good places in Sydney or anyone I can talk to about tuning my car? I have an EK1 D16Y4 engine, and im planning on boosting when I am off my green P's (2 years time).

Im planning on boosting my car, has anyone experienced boosting a d16y4 engine?

Ok I have tried to ask questions on D-series.org, but its so hard to relate since they are in US. Its also hard to ask where are good places to get parts from .. I want local areas.

Lastly,

Is there anything i can do to my car, that will contribute towards the progression of my turbo build? example; would i be just wasting money getting new headers, IM or even an intake? What do you's recommend?

Yes I have a goal, and thats to reach at least 250hp, and doing so with the equivalent amount of money in comparison to an engine conversion.

Thank you guys, please help me out here. I'm so lost with what to do, even if i can just talk to somebody it would be great :)

Kj.

if your dead set about turbo`in the d series then dont spend any money on headers or exhaust at this stage.
most of the parts that i buy are from the states, heaps of turbo support for the d series up in the states. (just my opinion)

save the money to put it towards your turbo setup.
when u do start boosting the car.
leave your engine as it is so u can learn the car and see what it needs. + if it blows....allows for easy CHEAP replacement.

only thing i would get is a pod filter and maybe a cat back, 2 1/2(depending on how much power you want).
Everything else is cosmetic stuff.

Then when you do the turbo you'll get the right stuff.

Friend of mine boosted his D16y4 prev.made 109kw atw with 6PSI
So long as your not hoping for massive power your gonna be fine.

Big power D series depends on what you wanna do. If your looking for over 180kw B series is the way to go
