Hey guys.

Well my euro (manual) is soon due for the 100k service (done just under 93000 though). I will continue to use my own oil, Castrol Sport 5w-30 synthetic.Honda said it would cost be 492$ if I brought my own oil. Have a few questions in regards to that,

I still have some left over from the last bottle? What do I do with that? I believe I shouldn’t use it with the new bottle right?

Been reading on the previous threads. From what I understand, NGK Laser Iridiums comes with the car as stock. So Honda would replace them with the same? Just let them install what they have? Or anything maybe better performance and cheaper I could give them to install?

Also It says that I should replace the manual transmission oil at the 120k service, but I guess I should do that now. Again similar question, leave what honda use for the eruos? Or anything cheaper and better I could give them? I havnt asked them about the aditional cost to change the transmission oil.

Last Q :), at the 120k service says to replace ABS fuild, is that fine to leave it till then?

Anything else perhaps that should be looking at doing?

Thanks alot

They generally don't charge you much less if you bring your own oil as it's the labour that costs heaps. If it says trans oil and abs fluid is to be changed at 120k then leave it till then

You can use your left over oil if you like, as long as you have close to 5 liters of it and it's the same weight and brand.

I'd bring my own spark plugs along, just for peace of mind.

I'd also be dumping my manual trans oil at 60,000km intervals. People say that 60,000km is even too long. But, 60,000km mixes well with the service intervals as the service manual recommends you change at 120,000km.

Brake fluid will be fine left at normal service interval, unless you track your car/boil the fluid.

Other than that, you should be fine :)

well the main reason i did say bout the manual trans fuild, is that i find it a bit hard to shift gears at times (mainly only the 2nd gear, even less 1st).

Ill check how much additional it costs. Im pretty handy, I should do it myself. seems simple enough. Just have to make time and get the proper tools

I have around a litre left from the old bottle (when i used it 5 months back). Will get the same brand again this time. So its ok to mix?

any recommendations on the plugs brand? thanks :)
