Hi guys
Just purchased a DC2 GSi in white and i'm wanting to change the external side door trims that are black to match the colour of the car, like the VTi-R models.
Now I know the obvious answer would be to get them painted white, but I'm wondering does anyone know where I could buy these door trims (I haven't bothered to go to my local Honda wrecker yet, prefer to buy them online as i'm lazy)... and is it as simple as finding some white ones and clipping the old ones off and new ones in? Or are they stuck to the car by adhesive?
Any help would be appreciated!!

I thought they were clipped in?
so you have to remove the inner door trim/door cards and pinch them out
Only take it off if your willing to put in alot of elbow grease in removing the excess glue lols

Why don't you just paint them?

just paint them the glue makes it hard to take off an put back on since your gonna have to scrape all the old glue back before puting them back one, shove some newpaper behind them and paint and your done

You can even paint them while they are still on the car, just make sure you tape properly.
Go to autobarn and tell them your car make model and year + paint code and they will mix you paint.
You'll need to also buy primer and clear coat.
It would be a lot easier than trying to take those ones off and put new ones on.
You need to remove the door trim to remove the side mouldings.
So just tape around them and paint. Save you lots of effort and time.

I would personally just take them off and clean the glue off, looks much cleaner with out the black strips

Thanks for the help guys.. ahh yeh it is a dc4.. haha my bad.. guess thats why im in the noob forum..
i think painting them sounds like the easier way to go.. i havent ever painted on a car before.. anyone know of a good place to get spraygun and equipment?
Or.. anyone who has done it before.. any rough idea on how long the paint would take to dry.. its not a major job so i dont think i'd need to set up a mini booth to do it in would i??
Cheers

You just need a rattle can.
Go to autobarn they will help you.
It's really really easy.
I would personally just take them off and clean the glue off, looks much cleaner with out the black strips
You would then have to fill in the holes left behind...

He just said he doesn't want to put the effort in.
He even says he wants to buy the side mouldings online because he is to lazy to go to a Honda dealer.
