A quality header usually makes the exhaust quieter than stock. The catback part is what makes it loud.

nope - headers usually make things quiet

the only difference with mine was a slight wooshing sound - but overall quieter

What you talking about, K series are quiet hahaha.
All motor B series are much louder.

I guess this is all irrelevant but,
My mate went from a worked B16a with straight through exhaust to a worked K20 with straight through exhaust and K20 is sooo much quieter, it was a shock. When at the track you could here his B16a going round the whole entire race track and it was usually one of the loudest cars on the day. K20 just sounds medium loud.

All the K series cars I've been in/have seen, have been quieter then bombed B16 and B18's.

Check out the BMI vids of the SS works CRX versing the K20 cars and you'll agree. You think the inboard camera in the K20 cars are loud then when it goes to the SS works CRX all motor B18 you're like "damn thats loud" hahaha.
