given I've never heard or seen of "sea foam" what were you going to use as an alternative?
if you can remove the injectors yourself send them off to be cleaned professionally as na-118 has said

the reason why i need to clean the injectors is because my em1 99 is laggin on start up around 3.5rpm, there is a noticable lag
changed spark plugs already - so thinking maybe the injectors

easier way. Goto supercheap, buy 2 bottles of injector cleaner, pour them into your fuel tank, fill up with 98 fuel and go for a nice long drive
The vavoline injector cleaner is only $12 for a twin pack
I've also heard that Subaru throttle body cleaner is a similar product to the seafoam for $20 a bottle

Is injector cleaner really necessary if I have been using BP Ultimate 98ron every time for the last 2 years?
I did use a bottle of Nulon injector cleaner over 2 years ago when I got my car but I heard it's a waste of money so I have been trusting BP ultimate to clean the injectors, valves, etc

All depends on the petrol station. I only use 98 fuel from one servo but i know my injectors get clogged from time to time.
There is a chance of slight build up of waste all the time and also from the conbustion chamber the residual crap.
What's $12 once in a while?
