Well Im in for my 1000km service next Friday.

Getting some Fog Lights fitted which will be great! but what type of bulb do they use ? Also wanted to know if the genuine honda oil 10W-30 is ok for my car.

As I.

1. Stop and Start quite a bit

2. 80% of the time do Short (infact very short) trips

3. Drive in heavy city traffic

4. Car drives in some cases + 35 degees

Or should I be looking at somthing like a Castrol R 0w-40 ? or somthing else perhaps ?

i have had a v6 magna, mitsubishi lancer gsr turbo, liberty rs turbo and forester gt turbo before my euro and ran them all on mobil 1 which i think is very good oil..
at the moment iam running the honda oil as my euro is coming up to 4000 km and it has only had the 1st service......i may look at changing though..

I just got my first service done by the dealer. They use Shell Helix Ultra for Euros or they can use the genuine Honda oil at your request. Car seems to rev easier now.

I use Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 too.. for Aussie conditions, beats better than Honda's 10w-30.... and it made my car tick less too LOL!

Some people say you should not go full synthetic early in the engine life - on that logic 1000kms is too soon. Perhaps stick with the dealer Castrol/Honda semi-synthetic until 10,000kms.
