Hello all, i thought i would quickly introduce my self, basically i am a new owner of a ej8 for my daily driver... auto =( .. from brisbane.
Anyways i have noticed recently my idle has been playing up, i have recently cleaned and followed a few of the DIY's cleaning the IACV valve and adjusting FITV.
Basically once my car warms up, the check engine light comes on, and my idle starts to sit and fluctuate between 1500 - 1700RPM. When i start the car up with a warm motor, the revs go straight up to 2900RPM then drops down to the 1500 and starts fluctuating again.
Basically I have noticed when i disconnect the IACV power plug and plug it back in, the revs will drop 50% of the time back to normal.
I have also checked my TPS and on closed position i am receiving 0.48V and getting 4.53Volts on wide open throttle. So i am assuming my TPS does not need to be reset.
I have done a error test on the car and it come back with error reading TPS and IACV after i have done a ECU power cycle.
Just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to rectify this problem as i am stuck on ideas now as i dont think these high revs on startup are any good for my motor.
Cheers all =)
PS. sorry if i blabbed on too much..
