Hello!

I own a Honda Civic Aerodeck (assembled in UK), year 2000 with engine D14Z4. My engine burns too much oil (about 500 grams per 1000 kilometers), so I took it to a service and they opened it. I was hoping to get away with just new piston rings, but things look bad and the cylinders are scratched badly, so I'm going to replace the whole engine.

Now, here is my question: I've found a decent (used) engine, but it is D14Z2. Everyone says they're basically the same with no differences, but Z2 is from a Japanese hatchback, while my Z4 is from an English (Rover-like) one. So, once again, the technical specifications of those two are the same, but I wonder about the chassis-mounting differences.

So, can you tell me whether there are any differences in the engines in terms of mounting them in the car chassis?
Will there be anything to re-work, or it this just a simple swap?
And, finally, I got another offer of D14A8, what about it?

Here are the images from my poor engine opened: :(

Thanks!
