The black one has been up for sale for ages and so has the red one.

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88747

Print out the link, drive them both and compare. IMO, i wouldn't buy a car that belonged to a P plater but thats my opinion. The red one looks tidy but i would ditch the rims.

IMO, i wouldn't buy a car that belonged to a P plater but thats my opinion.

I really think the seller should have taken down the P plates before taking the photos.

It might not mean much, but it's a mental thing, no idea what the young kid has been doing with the car, could have got over excited with the new toy and just trashed it ><

The wear on that black one's seat bolsters looks way more than 100,000km, but it could just be because of lack of proper treatment. buyer beware

I personally think, don't think too much of the photos and actually go check it out. If it drives well, and sounds well - it's all well. Who cares if they're P platers or not, it's not as if a Full-Liscenced driver won't thrash it. Just go check it out, I'd go for the black one, given that it's all good. My 2c.

I've been looking at s2k's for the past 8 months lol, the good ones are gone in literally less than a week so keep your eyes open!
You might want to check out s2ki, there is a section for people searching for a used s2000 and they may know of the vehicle you're currently viewing.
It might cost something, but performing professional inspections may save you big time in the long run. Also take it to a mechanic and do a compression test along with other inspections.
http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=775801 <-- That pretty much sums up EVERYTHING you can execute yourself.
Goodluck! I'll be buying one in about 3-4 months too haha

if your fussy about paint, then the red one. The magnetic P Plate will leave a square of darker paint (even though its black) once you remove it. just my 2c. and also, cos red goes faster ;D

I think you should get out there and give both of them a drive. You can really compare after you have driven a couple. Year model and kilometers can be irrelevant, 100k soft kilometers is better then 70k Hard kilometers.. And be sure to check little things like scratches on interior, carpet, roof marks, rips etc. Gives you peace of mind when you are driving.

Yeah, a car thats been taken care of and serviced regularly with high km's will but in much better nick than a car thats been thrashed with no regular services but low k's. Log books are the obvious ones, is the owner mature? When he takes you for a test drive, does he show off vtec? Take cues from all his actions and make a judgement.
Goodluck

Nice to take advantage of our A$ dollars as it would be fantastic to more buddies importing 1/2 cars, wreck cars and preferably accident cars with no deaths for parts just for our members around australia.
Some one will have to make certain profits but yet still make affordable for our S2000 members to be still running around. The dealers will just have to compete than.
Wouldn't it be nice? Smile.
Just my 2penny thoughts.

Its such a joy interacting ,gathering informations and exchanging ideas in this ozhonda forum till all it requires One rotten apple to spoil / shakeup my confidence. Its not big dollars, but stress and grief given to me but i cannot understand what drives , to cheat as on the phone conversation has the potential ability to excel but yet went for small money.Perhaps its easy money.haha!
Pity ,with small vision as their future will be black listed and provided they dont seek employment. Are there many s2000 driven by ladies in nsw?I am thinking of heading down to visit my friends.

Hey Tay113, why did you buy the top?? Keeping a spare? It's different from keeping a spare tire. Even if ur top breaks or ripped, the money spent on replacing with your spare, you could just get a glass version and install that with same price. With currency quite good, the cheapest glass window top is probably gonna set you back about $500 more or less without the demister etc. So really you're only a couple hundred out of pocket from ur second hand spare if you ever need to remove and install. There are places here (SA) that would do the conversion - the place i know replaces Ferrari roofs and restores old but high distinction convertible cars. I wouldn't trust Honda dealers doing it, people in there are just apprentices following the Honda manual.

HI buddy,Yes! You are right! Its a sense of security as i saw it keeping as spare. In the back of my mind thinking a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.In event of a slash,i could replace it instantly with stock inhand and moreover i could live with a plastic version.Importantly!i was comfortable with my budget than. What to do?Its all about living experience and no age discrimination.
