Hey all,
I am having a problem when i some times brake and when i go over 100kms/h.
The steering wheel is shaking.
I have changed CV joints.
What could it be?
Cheers

wheel alignment, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, uneven brake wear etc.

Get a proper 4 wheel wheel alignment.

Most likely needs a wheel alignment brother, not very expensive at all.

LOL can't believe no one said wheel BALANCE. I had the same problem and knew what it was straight away, so I went and got a wheel balance (which is really quite cheap and any tyre place can do it for you) and all fixed.
hope this helps!

if the steering wheel is shaking at bout 80/90 thru to 100/110 then goes away its a wheel balance issure like Super-DA9 mentioned.

^ Definitely agree with above
One time I had wheels on and they weren't balanced. As soon as I went over 100km/h, my steering wheel made this very sexual vibration constantly.

get a 4 wheel balance done, only costs about $20

sounds like a warped disc to me, get them replaced or machined
sometimes you can take off your wheel and slighty use sand paper on the disc.. might work

Good suggestion man, but if it's happening when he's not braking too, I don't think that'd be it. Easy way to tell though, remove the wheel, look inside the front of the caliper so you can see the two brake pads and the disc in between, and spin the disc and see if it looks like it's wobbling. if so, then the disc is warped/distorted. However if it's only a VERY tiny bit, then it's shouldn't affect it. :)

lol when I bought my DC2 it had both a bad wheel balance AND distorted front rotors. In the case of the wheel balance, it's a good thing I had a good set of rims and tyres back home. :P

Get your disc machined
