Hey

Is it worth upgrading a Type r DC2 exhaust system ? or is the stock one good enough?
If so what sort is worth getting on a low to medium budget and how much would it roughly cost ?

Thanks!

the stock dc2r system is pretty good for stock, its stainless steel, defs upgrade the headers but theyre crapppp. (unless u got 98spec dc2r which has better headers)

a good exhaust to get on a low medium budget is a skunk2 catback. theyre like $600 where as fujitsubo systems are double brand new. but your guna need a jdm cat to get a new catback

you'll need a shorter cat cos the length of the bpipe is abit longer than our audm stock pipe

the only thing to do is replace the header and cat with a nicer 4-1 unit and hi flow cat. this will net you alittle more mid range and top end.
Replacing the cat-back will not give you any power. Just noise.

agreed

if you arent going to upgrade the headers dont worry about the exhaust for now. just leave it how it is.

This thread might help;

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?162296-DC2R-JDM-amp-AUDM-oem-exhaust-differences

From my knowledge you will need to change headers, cat and catback all to jdm spec models if you want it to all bolt up straight away with no extensions/cutting required....

jdm spec headers are longer, jdm spec cat is shorter and jdm exhaust is longer when compared to audm spec...

Hope this helped!
