dont know too much about matte black
but is it just a primer type paint?
im looking at fixing a few dents on my civic primering the whole car
just wondering if matte black is a primer or if its actual paint
plans are to fix the dents and primer the car temprorily
and then respray the car black later on
just seeing if matte black can be used as primer
or if theres primer that comes in black so the car looks ok for the time its primered.
rather it be black than grey lol

Primer is primer, matt black is matt black. If want to paint primer make sure it is primer.

Primer comes in different colours, but your matt black is probably a top coat, not primer.

Since primer has no sheen and you can get primer in black. Then yes, it will be matt black.
