HELP with headers! D16Y1 and D16A8

Hey guys, as the title states..im looking into purchasing some headers for my D16A8..however im not too sure whether or not D16Y1 headers fit on my D16A8. Are all d-series headers interchangeable regardless of twin cam/single cam/vtec?

Ive tried searching the forums, and on google...couldnt really find the answer to it.

So if anyone knows whether D16Y1 headers will fit on a D16A8, that would be great!

haha im not getting ebay headers though..but im assuming youre saying that as in you bought d16y1 headers off ebay and put them on your d16a8? if so, sweet! thanks man

same PORT STUD pattern.......


but....


port size on the d16a8 is larger. IF you get a d series header chances are You will have to slightly machine the header ports to suit your d16a8 head. Use a OEM exhaust gasket on the header to get the port right.

Also , there is a chance the under sump pipe/s might have an issue with the slightly different sized d16a8 sump.
