Can anyone tell me if K&N 69-Series Typhoon Short Ram Intake is any good?

found one really cheap $140
but don't want to get it if its sh#t

is there are any problems with this intake?

Search the forum, there is plenty of info about this (And other intakes for the DC5).

In short... it's sh!t.

Short Ram intakes for DC5s are generally not as good as other options such as Injen CAI. If you dont want to risk water being soaked into your engine from Injen CAI, other options such as Mugen, GruppeM intakes are of choice.

Reason why short ram intakes arent as good is that it gets alot of heat soak where it is situated. Unlike the DC2, our intakes are located in a heated area and with running time, performance starts to feel sluggish due to your engine heating up.

In short, do it once and do it right. Rather get a spoon cleaner filter replacement instead as the OEM design is designed to suck cold air already from your vent (just more restrictive than other CAI's).
