How to wire along dash? (holding it there)

hi guys, quick question, im doing an install of a headunit on my ep3 and it has a gps reciever, it needs to sit on the dash, right underthe windscreen, i worked out there is enough space between the door and the car when closed to have it feed up, but because the dash is a little slippery, it doesnt stick with electrical tape, has anyone done something simmilar? any ideas? i was thinking dabs of hot glue gun...

3m double sided tape always works..
or just stop using the dash protector stuff as most of it is silicone and it drys up your dash and will crack under the sun.

with a quality GPS antenna, you leave it under the dash, just make sure there is no metal above it..

ive done this plenty of times, they even do it in OEM work (nissan and toyota, etc) i know this because i used to install eclipse for them
