check the clockspring, if the connector has melted due to the airbags deploying then you need to get another one.

You hit the sump? I've heard of people smacking their 4-1 header but never the sump :o

Maybe sumps in a coupe hang lower. My coupe has a dented sump from being too slammed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need to have a new unit professionally installed or something?

You just can't pack a discharged airbag like a parachute..LOL...
You need to replace the entire unit as there's actually an explosive charge packed in the unit.

no insurance :(

well consider this a cheap intro to what it will be like if you have an accident without insurance. atleast get 3rd party

i dont think it deployed for "NO" reason,u just said u went over a speed hump in a lowered car which caused it to go off. why would u try and deflect blame, accept it, pay the man his money

It ripped open the sump? Man how fast were you going? Because I've smashed my sump on a bump before doing about 70 and it only dented it and my car was pretty low at the time

the sump hangs more towards the left hand side... But hitting a sump...U mustev been goin fast, cause to damage a sump, requires a bit of force! let alone deploying a airbag

U sir mite will require a new airbag steering wheel, no point in tryna install a new airbag system in the old wheel, find a 2nd air bag steering wheel... If im not mistaken, u mite needa take it to honda to clear the airbag light as well

With regards to insurance, correct me if im wrong, but the vehicle is now deemed a write-off as airbags deployed

It would cost you so much to re install the airbags and all broken/ deployed accessories you may as well count your losses and get another car and transfer all mods onto the new ride, and yes this is now a salvage written off vehicle, I'd say you had a good experience and learnt something from it... Slow down :)

So it's not classed as a repairable write-off, but rather an un-repairable one? Good lord who made these rules...?

i think its deemed a repairable write off, as iev seen a few cars that have been repaired back on the road, with there airbags replaced an all

I've had a few experiences when air bags were deployed and damage was not very expensive on the body nothing twisted or bent and I always got the letters sent to me as a non repairable write off lol as soon as the srs sensor gets pushed past the point the deploy :D
