Hi all, I got a EK and wanna swap engine to B18C. I have checked on internet, there is 2 types of B18C engine in Aus market. B18C-R which is on JDM DC2 Type-R, and B18C7 on Aus market DC2 Type-R.

Did anyone know the average price of them and how to distinguish them?

Thanks guys.

aus spec has stamped block stating b18c7 with numbers after, whereas jdm is only marked as b18c with no numbers following

however this isnt the only way to determine if its jdm or aus spec.
other factors include the numbers printed on the head block (just above the headers) stating year made, pr3 etc but someone else can fill you in on this as im not 100%

Thanks guys. Is that $4k for the engine and gearbox plus installation for B18C-R or B18C7?

Just from a quick look on eBay I found JDM B18C for around $4.5k including a few other important bits and pieces
Or just over $5k for a halfcut
At a guess I'd say you might be able to pick up just engine and gearbox a little cheaper and maybe B18C7 a bit cheaper again since it's not imported
Honestly though either way that's not huge money for a good engine

Thx EH. Did anyone know if I swap to B18C, should I need to get a new fuel pump?
