Hi bros
I want to know if I put DC2 Type R ECU on the VTIR will it increase any performance?
And will it damage the engine?
Also want to know where is good for tune :honda: cars in SA?

No... you'll go backwards & the IAB won't work anymore.

how about hondata will they produce any ECU for vtir???

you can use a Hondata unit on your VTiR, best results will be achived by having the ECU Mapped to suit your setup otherwise it will be pointless

but where I can get that and tune it? coz I'm in SA and not many people can do this. is there any workshop in melbourne or sydney good at tuning honda car??

Hondata units can be bought from online auctions, or this forum for sale threads.
depending on your car you may need a convertion harness
EdgeAuto can help you with remapping or you can also use Graeme West ( APE ) they are very very good as well.

I would suggest you do some googling and or searching on this site prior to calling them as it seems that you are fairly new to tuning or modifying cars (not trying to be rude)
I would recommend them for ECU mods on a Honda in SA as well but I believe they are really busy at the moment and short on staff, so if you dont know what you are talking about they will probably fob you off and not be very helpful. They are usually very good on the customer service side of things having said that..
one question though- what makes you think you need an ECU now? have you done other basic bolt ons such as I/H/E?
