Not bad 2nd place for our Euro Cu2. I believe the HOnda once an year sales with $750 voucher for accessories boost the sales...

It's interesting how i45 just entered in the market not too long ago and it's already on 363. Whether that figure is long term i guess will depend on how much loyalty i45 will get once owned.

Although camry is boring, they do offer a solid package with a heap of features at value prices not to mention rock solid reliability.

May be value for money most people go for i45.... With camry, you can get brand new camry for 25k D/A with auto headlight, auto rain sensing wiper and sometimes with reverse camera as well. I beleive most camries sold via fleet....like Falcadore

Its the first time that the I45 has done well,as since launch in May,its sales have been tiny.

Avery big buyer of Camrys are government, and rental fleets,as well as people who dont care what they drive,as long as it gets them from point A to point B...

where is the US Accord? or is it considered a large car?
the 'Holden Epica 126' still selling? that is one horrible car, both looks and build-quality.
well done CU2, that should give honda Aus more reason to bring in better accessories for the Euro.

How come taxi's use ford or holden mainly? Is it because they can charge more based on higher fuel consumption?

Most taxis here are Toyota Camry with some Aurion and some Prius. Most of the Camry's sales lead is from fleet sales. NT Gov buys them by the truck load (lol).

You can buy Rennos, Sittro-ens, Perjoes and Sko-dars in Orztraylia? Really. Where?

A few factors, like their size, come with gas system fitted standard, and plain old economics. Fleet discount is huge on Aust built cars.

PLus they made those cars in AUstralia for Australian conditions..Thats why the service interval for Camry/Aurion and others are 15k, compare with Honda 10k because Honda is not made in Australia....

I see.

Well i'd stop driving honda if the taxi's were all using them. Nothing against taxi's but i don't like cars to be TOO common, it's boring.

Read the fine print in the service manuals praja & u will see that they recommend oil changes every 7,500km, the same as the fine pint in your CU2 manual says 5,000km.

The main reason Toyota sells so many cars is due to huge fleet discounts, be it Taxi's, Car Rental companies or other fleets ....... oh - it also does wonders for resale values.

my dad went to buy a kizashi like a fortnight after there release and got told he couldnt buy one because they only had enough stock for dealership display cars. it's a shame because they are really nice cars but after a week from being knocked back buy suzuki he found an 08 cu2 sitting in the same dealership's yard (it was the hyundai used cars part, i dont think he'd go back to the suzuki guys :P) which he got for 33k, luxury with everything but the satnav even had warranty left! silly suzuki killing a chance at selling their brand new car, the kizashi will be a car that makes or breaks suzuki.

The majority of taxis in Melbourne are ugly Yellow Ford Falcons.
