EK9 Power Mirrors on EM1

Hi there everyone!

I'm not sure whether this has been covered in this forum, but I did a search and couldn't really find anything specific about this topic.

I have an EM1 and was wondering whether an EK9 Power Mirrors will be a straight swap as long as I have the relay and switch?

I guess the other question is, if I can obtain all these parts, is there anything else I need to consider before doing the conversion?

yes it is.

they will bolt up, but wiring is different. EK9 are power folding type so if you want the power folding option you would need dash loom, door loom, switch and relay.
but if you simply dont want the power folding option, it will still work just plug and play.

^^ but you can tell everyone you have EK9 mirrors:p

they fit, easy swap in, buy the mirrors, relay, proper mirror switch and make sure there's enough wires to mend with, works a treat :)

good investment for narrow parking spots or when people dont park properly
