After i changed my throttle cable, my idle is hunting,
I have cleaned the IACV and now the idle is higher but still hunting.
What can it be?
Its integra vtir. so b18c2

It Idles at about 3k now, then starts hunting. from about 1.5 - 2k, before i changed the cable it idle at around 1.5 cold start, and normal idle is about 850-900RPM.
Normal idle is about 1.2k atm, and if i play with the pedel very lighty up to about 2k it will start hunting again.

I have also checked if there is any gap in the throttle body there isnt.

probaby find the tps sensor is failing. you can try recallibrate it. or try replacing it. there are a few threads about it have a quick search. for tps calibration or Rev hunting

check all vac lines going to booster intake arm and behind intake manifold

I reckon the tps.

The other thing it could be is the FITV. (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?120938-You-Have-Cleaned-the-IACV-BUT-Your-Idle-Is-Still-High-Erratic-Adjust-The-FITV.)

But the FITV is more when it surges,so I doubt that is it.

tps I reckon.

Which leads U to think the cable is to blame, but U are sure 100% it's not right?

Cars do that....mess with ya head, that is!! LOL

get a screw driver and adjust the idler on the throttle body. lol trust.

That may work, sometimes does i.e. U can get the idle under control via the idle/air screw.

it is usually underneath the throttle body

check all of ur vacuum lines - u may have bumped one out
car will idle hunt as soon as theres a vacc leak

also clean out ur FITV - its right under the TB

than check ur TPS voltage

there are DIY to do all of these on this site ...

My friend just done this,he had the same problem:

WD40 the accelerator cable, then tighten it up and then loosen it off.

U just wanna lubricate and stretch the cable and hopefully that will fix it,like it did his.

Your welcome!

maybe the old cable is a different length to the new one
take off the cable and see how it idles, if it idles fine with the cable detached from the tb it probably just needs adjustment
