Really depends on your budget. I think the best is mugen airbox but if you dont have a heap of cash for an intake then have a look at injen and fujita.

On a budget or not? If no budget, go Mugen ($700+). If your budget is like $300-500 then go Fujita (not Injen). If you're doing it cheap then just DIY with aluminium pipe and silicone connectors from Super Cheap with a 3A Racing pod.

DC2R intake arm + DC2R airbox + KnN pod filter + DIY CAI feed to box

Cheap
Works Good
Filter can be washed and re-used.
No heatsoak
No hydro lock
No defects

All good for std engine, but max output is limited to around 120~125kw

Well absed on his signature, I assumed he would like the best sleeper look for intake wise with good results.

Of course we could go all out and recommend ITB's.

How come not injen mate?

IMO Fujita is better, but if you want that style of intake I think just making your own DIY intake with a good pod is a better/cheaper option.

IMO Fujita > Injen

The pod filter that Fujita manufactures/comes with their intakes is alot better quality and provides more flow compared to the Injen in the comparisons that I've seen.

It won't be a life changing difference, but for around the same price, its better to go with the better option.

That's right. I'm using the Fujita on my new intake.

Yeah I had Injen on my previous car, when I get around to doing the intake I'll be going with a box setup like comptech icebox/mugen intake or Fujita if I'm going CAI

Any ideas if the ARC air box's are any good? They have the looks but I have no idea if they're any good?

Tai

Theyre just as shit as well.

Had one before, same thing as Js racing, actually even worse, it absorbs alotta heat and it sucks air from the top part of teh box which is coverd by the bonnet.

Comptech is crappy quality, the box doesnt seal as well and the filter is crap quality.

Gains arent as good as the mugen

Most things often aren't as good or expensive as Mugen. Like they say you get what you pay for.

honestly man if ur on a budget...why spend $400 for a brand name so u can get cheap piping with there logo on it? i bought a $60 CAI intake for a civic which sits nicely and cleanly under ur plastics and through ur intake hole...i put my blox air filter with velocity stax on it...and it works a treat..the material is very high quality so id say blow ur money on a gud filter dnt waste ur time on name brand intakes...just my 2 cents you dont have to like it tho

dougie_504

As above. But I wouldn't even 'blow' money on an expensive filter. Get a damned good one like 3A Racing for just $26. F'ing bargain.
