Hey Forum,
I'm sure many are on the same boat when I say that I hate stone chips.
My cars bonnet is literally covered in them.
Anyone got a inexpensive way of getting the front-end of the car looking like new again?
Thanks.

There's stonechip repair places that can do it for you mate, or you can do it yourself. The stone chip paint from Honda is $20, and you can get a can of clear coat from repco and supercheap.
Depending on how bad it is, you might be better off getting front bumper and bonnet resprayed. It's a very costly option though.

Yeah i would take it to someone. For $250-$350 it will come out real good, they will do the whole front end.
I just had the whole front end replaced on my car because of an accident and after 3 weeks there's already 15+ stone chips.
But I drive on 'Hardcore bush roads' lol

Unfortunately a respray is the only way. Brush touching the stone chips will make them less noticeable and is a good idea to prevent further chipping and rust, but won't make the damage disappear.
Brush touching and clear coating will give an OK result, but still won't be 100%. It's tricky, laborious to do dozens of stone chips, requires wetsanding to flatten off the clear you applied, and machine polisher to remove the sanding marks.
Prevention is the only way with stone chips, either with a conventional vinyl or clear adhesive car bra.

The clear adhesive ones are good (as long as you get a good installer!), beacuse they're barely noticeable unless you are looking very closely, especially on light coloured cars.
